Enhancement Pack for Unix

This package contains miscellaneous tools to enhance the OVO management server. See Readme for Release 1.23.

Templates management

Those are scripts to manipulate OVO Unix templates. The following scripts are available:

• fixtemplates.sh: Do the following operations on a group of templates:
  • Copy a template group under a new name
  • Set default service name under each conditions of a template
  • Set trouble ticket flag to true
  • Set notification flag to true
• listtemplates.sh: List all templates part of a group of templates.
• templatereport.sh: Print in a formatted way a report for the specified template or group of templates.

Tools for OVO servers

Various tools for the HPUX OVO server.

• ovohist2csv: Convert OVO history files to CSV (Comma Separated Values).
• ovomsgprint: Display complete information about a specific message.
• ovomsgtool: Manipulate message properties like message text, acknowledge, CMAs, etc.
• ovomsilogger: Write all OVO messages to log files based on patterns. This program supports both OVO server and agent.

Tools for OVO agents

Those tools are used to enhance the monitoring capabilities of the OVO agents.

For HPUX, Solaris, Linux and Windows agents:

• opclogi: Much extended logfile encapsulator replacement. Also support TCP/IP, serial, pipe and other interfaces. Support messages on multiple lines and make sure alarms are never lost even when a log file is reset. Previous release is also available here. See documentation for a list of all features available.

For HPUX agents:

• opcmsgraw: Send OVO messages directly to the message agent. This is used when it is necessary to submit messages with field that cannot usually be set with the opcmsg command (creation time, msgid, message type, etc). Mostly useful when messages should be resubmitted.
• ovoecsdbanno: Oracle and MySQL ECS annotate server. From an ECS circuit, do any SQL statement to gather data from an external database. Use this data to enhance the message flow.
• ovoecsloganno: Log ECS annotate server. From an ECS circuit, write to a log file any useful information.

• opcmsgx: An opcmsg command replacement for Windows where any combination of double-quote characters are supported.
• enumproc: Tool to monitor 16-bits Windows processes.
• fsallp: Tool to monitor disk space on Windows in percentages.

Other tools

The following tools are available on HPUX:

• getfiletime: Print all times associated to a file.
• portchk: Check if a specific TCP/IP port is reachable.
• tosocket: Send STDIN to a specific TCP/IP port.
